Enlisted PME Courses

    As an NCO and Team Leader in the Texas State Guard, the E5 is responsible for the development of the members of their team. One of those requirements is to ensure that Team members are within standards when it comes to uniform wear and personal appearance. This course is designed to give you and understanding of those requirements. 

    The course is based on AR-670-1, DA PAM 670-1 and the various Texas Military Department and Texas State Guard regulations and policies that govern the wear of Texas State Guard uniforms. 

      

      The Texas State Guard Sergeant (E5) is usually assigned the position of Team Leader. They are responsible for the development of the members of their team. Some personnel will be assigned to a team immediately after Initial Entry Training. They will need assistance to perfect the basic drill and ceremonies they learned in the RTU and BOT.

      This course is designed to give the E5 Team Leader the knowledge and skills to reinforce the individual drill taught to these new personnel during their Initial Entry Training. Drill and Ceremonies help to foster teamwork, Esprit de Corps and instant obedience to orders within the team. It is essential to the team's integration into the squad and platoon. 

        The Texas State Guard Sergeant (E5) is usually assigned the position of Team Leader. They are responsible for the development of the members of their team. As the first line supervisor and the link between the NCO corps and lower ranking enlisted personnel, it is imperative the Team Leader is equipped with the leadership knowledge to perform these duties. 

        This course is designed to give the E5 Team Leader an understanding of basic leadership principles and allow the student to begin to begin to develop their personal leadership style and philosophy.
