This is a very intensive class. Plan for some long days and late nights. Attendance in this class does not guarantee a passing grade. Your preparation and participation are critical to your success. You will have to work to complete this course.

Be prepared to work into the evening and night after class has ended.

Again, this is a very intense class in that you will be working on your presentations after being in class all day. That said, it will be some of the most rewarding training that you have received. Our cadres are first-class teaching professionals.

You will need a laptop, notepad, pens, highlighters, and note cards. You may also want to add an extension cord, snacks, and multi outlet surge protector to your packing list.  You will need a working computer with WiFi capability, and which can perform PowerPoint function.

If you are not already familiar with PowerPoint, take some time between now and then to learn the basics.  I have provided an introductory video to help those who may not have used PowerPoint in the past.

Due to time limitations, I have assigned your 15 and 30-minute presentation topics ahead of the course start date (see below).  Between now and the time of the course, it is on you to research your assigned topics. I want you to have source material related to your topic already in hand when you get to the class.  When I say in hand, I mean that you have information ready to put into a PowerPoint and write a lesson plan. Researching the topic is time-intensive, so the more you do now, the less you will do during the course.
